Here you also have the chance to view paintings from my brother Sotirios Makos. Their themes are old greek ships, sailing vessels, steamboats and the famous mermaids, which derive from an old greek legend. According to this legend the mermaid was a beautiful woman, half human and half fish. She was a creature that came in the dreams of every sailor who had been in the sea for far too long and kept him company.

Sotirios Makos is one of the best contemporary folklore painters. His paintings are part of private art collections around the world and he has won the respect and admiration of many people who have come in contact with him and viewed his work.

If you happen to travel toAthens, Greece you can visit his store in 41 Nikodimou Str. and view his work, as well as the big variaty of jewels and drawings he owns.
