Athens Train Schedules

Athens: Larissa train stationThere were two train stations side by side in Athens, one for Northern Greece and the other for the Peloponessos, on Theodorou Diligiani street. The Peloponessos Railway station is now closed, maybe permanently. The way to get to the Peloponessos now is to go from Athens to Corinth by '' Proastiako '' from Larissia Station. The Proastiako is the new Suburban Railway system of Athens, Greece which connects Larissa Station (Athens Central Railway Station) with Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport as well as Corinth and Loutraki to the south. To get to Larissa Station from Omonia walk down Agia Konstaninou street to Kariaskakis Square and then walk around the square to your right until you come to Theodorou Diligiani street. You can get the schedules for clicking on the above links. There is also a metro station at Larissa Station.

See www.athensguide.com/schedules/terminals.html for information on public transportation to the train stations.
